This is the place where you can personalize your profile!
But, how?
By moving, adding and personalizing widgets.
You can drag and drop to rearrange.
You can edit widgets to customize them.
The bottom has widgets you can add!
Some widgets you can only access when you get a premium membership.
Some widgets have options that are only available when you get a premium membership.
We've split the page into zones!
Certain widgets can only be added to certain zones.
"Why," you ask? Because we want profile pages to have freedom of customization, but also to have some consistency. This way, when anyone visits a deviant, they know they can always find the art in the top left, and personal info in the top right.
Don't forget, restraints can bring out the creativity in you!
Now go forth and astound us all with your devious profiles!
Over the past two years, I have been in a pony frenzy. The show resonated something great with me. It was a "girl show" but it wasn't. It finally started to disprove this idea that there are "things for boys" and "things for girls."
Then Lauren Faust left. You could see the show declining from season one to season two, but Lauren still had some hand in season two, so it was okay. Then came season three. Oh, god. Season three.
I am not some rabid pegasister -- or whatever you call them. I loved the show. I loved doing the art work, too. I felt the show was doing great things by breaking the mold of past pony generations and, indeed, social "normalities." But now? It's all about singing, frolicking and princesses. The same schlock we've seen over and over again.
The message Lauren began with has been completely bastardized. The show is just another... thing. Another market of pink, frilly dresses and princesses. Like we didn't have enough of that in this world. Oh, well. Hasbro is a company and the dollar will always mean more than the message.
But I have lost my heart for it. So I am ceasing any pony artwork for now. I am going to give season four a chance and if the downward spiral continues, I do not see myself returning. I am sorry for those who began watching me for the pony-based artwork I have done. I am grateful for every watch, comment and favourite I've received. I truly am. Thank you all and I hope you stick around.
